Matthew Chalmers performs and facilitates internal and external compliance, control, maturity, and risk assessments of information security functions and provides credible challenge to information security management in his second line of defense oversight and governance role with US Bank in Minneapolis.

Matthew especially enjoys and excels at illuminating the details of technical topics such as cryptography and cyber risk for non-technical audiences. Matthew has written, spoken, and trained publicly and privately, classified and unclassified, on a range of subjects including cryptography, penetration testing, IT audit, and GRC.

Matthew is currently ABD in pursuit of his doctoral degree in cyber security from Capitol Technology University, researching new perspectives on end-to-end email encryption.
