I started programming in Fortran in 1970. I wrote a COBOL program as an undergraduate. I actually wrote a program in APL at UMASS Amherst in 1978 as a graduate student. I put a 'Hello World' website from my portable computer at work on the internet without a firewall in 1996, just for a few hours, and just an IP address, no DNS name. In 2005 I started the Boston OWASP chapter, and am still running it. I got involved in application security at Staples from 2001 to 2007. I was the application security architect for Starwood Hotels from 2007 to 2017. Starwood was acquired by Marriott in 2017 and I'm currently an application security guy for Marriott.
