Christopher Frenz is a healthcare information security and privacy expert that specializes in a holistic approach to organizational security. He holds many industry standard security credentials including CISSP, HCISPP, CISM, CISA, CIPP\US, CIPM, CIPT, and CCSK and is one of the few people to hold the IAPP’s most prestigious credential the Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP). He is the author of the computer programming books “Pro Perl Parsing” and “Visual Basic and Visual Basic .NET for Scientists and Engineers” as well as numerous articles on security and programming topics. Christopher is the project lead for the OWASP Anti-Ransomware Guide and the OWASP Secure Medical Device Deployment Standard. Christopher has been interviewed in publications such as SC Magazine and CSO Magazine for his expertise on security topics and frequently shares his knowledge of security by speaking at conferences and other security events. In recent years, Chris has been a strong advocate for conducting mock malware incidents within healthcare organizations and is a prominent speaker and teacher on how organizations can use mock incidents to improve organizational security.
