&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;Sylvain Pasini received his first degree in Electronics from the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (Geneva) in 2001, more precisely from the &amp;quot;Ecole d'Ingénieurs de Genève&amp;quot; (EIG), which was recently renamed under HEPIA.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Secondly, he received his Master's degree in Communication Systems from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in 2005.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Thirdly, he was teaching and research assistant in the Security and Cryptography Laboratory (LASEC) at EPFL. &lt;br /&gt;
At the same time he did a Ph.D. thesis in cryptography under the supervision of Professor Serge Vaudenay. &lt;br /&gt;
His research focused on message authentication protocols. He also worked on the electronic passport and on keyboard attacks.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
From May 2009 to July 2011, Sylvain was working as cryptography expert and security architect for Nagravision (Kudelski Group), world leader in digital pay-TV industry.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Since August 2011, Sylvain is Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (Vaud), more precisely at the HEIG-VD. &lt;br /&gt;
Its main activites are applied research and teaching, both in computer security.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
